hi everyone. I’ve been going through a lot of changes in my life and recently moved well four months ago and a lot of stress but back on level ground so it looks like I’ve taken a little to much of my thyroid medication had labs done t4 is good but tsh is not it’s at 0.13 I’ve contacted my new doctor but he didn’t contact me for the results I called them so I get a email saying because of my sweats and cold hot he said I’m hyperthyroid not hypothyroidism but didn’t say what to do I’m taking 112 six nights and two more on 7 th day I called the pharmacy they didn’t give any good info I asked should I not take one at night ? He said oh just do what I normally do so I took a half pill. So I’m here to find answers what to do? oh I also had stabbing pain in my chest please I need to get back where I was I mean I like that I’m loosing weight but being this low is crazy. Thanks

Ignore the TSH. Once it gets below 1 it's not that important - and certainly doesn't mean you're hyper! You cannot be hyperthyroid because you are hypo, and the thyroid cannot regenerate like that and start over-producing. Your TSH isn't even that low. Mine's been zero for years! So, if your FT4 is not over-range, forget the TSH. (Can you give us the exact numbers for the FT4? Result and range?)

What is more important is how you feel. Do you feel over-medicated? Or do you feel good/ok/hypo? Never let a doctor reduce your dose solely on the basis of a low TSH. If you feel ok, carry on with the same dose - I wouldn't reduce it if I were you. :)

OK, so no way does that suggest you're over-medicated. :)

Looking at previous posts

You had RAI and now hypothyroid as result

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested

Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum

ALWAYS test thyroid levels early morning, ideally just before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

What vitamin supplements do you take

Moved house within last four months! Take that into consideration too. I have wanted to move house for the last seven years but I know I can’t handle it. No way. Just get back into the swing of sorting yourself out (with the above info) and give yourself time. Best Wishes.
