hello. New to this site. I will add my bio but wanted to know can you take ashgawanda when you have thyroid issues. I am fluctuating between hyper and hypo at the moment and have high antibodies (370). Trying to get right dose 75 or 100 over last 6 months. Was ok for years on levothyroxine but when menopause and stress hit last year had lots of symptoms. Thanks

Hello Hopeful and welcome to the forum ;
Can you tell us a little more about yourself ?
Do you have any recent blood test results and ranges to share with forum members ?
Presume you are referring to Hashimoto's auto immune thyroid disease when mentioning high antibodies ?
You might like to read around Hashimoto's if you haven't already and many forum members refer to the research of Dr Izabella Wentz - thyroidpharmacist.com
If you have been put on HRT you may find you need to increase your dose of Levothyroxine.
As for Ashgawanda, from what I've read it works well for some, but not others.
Ashwaghanda is an adaptogen. You might find this thread of interest on the subject :
I agree with the other comments but would also flag up that it is in the nightshade family which is a no no for me 🤢
Been taking it for a few yrs and its been helpful. I had to go through a few dosages and brands before I found what suited me best. I use Purica Ashwagandha
Dear Hopeful, Unfortunately I cannot take Ashwagandha
You may need to check before even trying. I have taken Levothyroxine for multiple years prior to being diagnosed with Lupus.
Sorry I cannot be more of a help.
