what happens to TSH after I stop a trial of Levo? Does it bounce up or is there a lag?

Hello Thyroid Northerner and welcome to the forum :
Why does this matter as the TSH itself does not cause symptoms and naturally fluctuates throughout a 24 hour cycle anyway ?
I guess I mean will my body be able to quickly tell my thyroid to kick back in if the Dr decides to stop the trial
Did you discuss Central Hypothyroidism with your GP as mentioned in reply to your last post?
From the results you posted previously it would seem that your pituitary isn't talking to your thyroid anyway, your FT4 was below range, so what you're looking for is your FT4 to rise.
Looking at your previous question I doubt that will happen and if we are looking at Central Hypothyroidism you will maybe referred to an endocrinologist.
We need to see a TSH, Free T3 and Free T4 result and range after 6-8 weeks on the T4 medication you may feel a little better - this is just the start of treatment with T4 - Levothyroxine and as your T4 level increases through the range so should your T3 level rise and your TSH responds by going lower in normal circumstances.

Do you have access to your latest blood results? Its helps people here to advise you you if you have them. You are legally entitled to copies of your blood tests, ask at GP reception or even better get access via the NHS app by asking at reception.
It's unusual for a trial of Levothyroxine to be stopped. Have you had your antibodies tested?
Everyone is different and it can take from weeks to months to a couple of years for TSH to bounce back. I became overmedicated 5 years ago and while my FT4 levels dropped almost as soon as I started talking less medication, it took at least 3 years for my TSH to rise. It's a pity because doctors only look at TSH, so I end up undermedicated.
