Remind me again how to swap from evening to morning before a test

my mum needs to take a thyroid test but she takes the hormone at night currently. How does she swap? Miss a full day? Or could she take some at mid afternoon ?

If you normally take levothyroxine at bedtime/in night ...adjust timings as follows prior to blood test

If testing Monday morning, delay Saturday evening dose levothyroxine until Sunday morning. Delay Sunday evening dose levothyroxine until after blood test on Monday morning. Take Monday evening dose levothyroxine as per normal

You delay Saturday night dose by 12 hours to Sunday morning

You move Sunday night dose to AFTER blood test Monday morning

You take Monday evening dose as per normal

one last question, should you fast on the day of the blood test? I do but when I explain it to my mum I forget why haha

Not fast as such …..but ideally just drink water before blood test because she will need to take levothyroxine immediately after blood test on an empty stomach
