My question is about our ft4 levels.
If you are on levothyroxine and your conversion to t3 is poor but suddenly (due to a healthier lifestyle) your conversion gets a lot better.. Will your ft4 level drop ?

No better conversion means that you would use the ft4 more efficiently so ft3 should rise.
Think of a car - if your car has had a service and the engine is therefore running more efficiently, when you go on a journey you are likely to get more kilometres per litre because of that improved efficiency.
Hello Sofie :
It is possible that as vitamins and minerals are improved to optimal levels your body's ability to convert the T4 into T3 improves and you will then see a higher T3 and a lower T4 from the same dose of T4 - thyroid hormone replacement.
I take NDT and have noticed my conversion varies by a small % especially when my ferritin drops a little lower than expected..
i 've been self medicating for around 5 years and just run a yearly full blood panel more for the vitamins and minerals than the T3 and T4 as I feel well and this small % change in my thyroid hormones doesn't really concern me too much.
Sofie007,
One reply indicates no and the other reply indicates yes, and I'm going neutral! 😁.
It may or may not drop as the level of FT4 isn’t just directed by how much is converted into T3 but very much influenced by protein carriers and levels of other hormones, and improving your life style will have made many other positive adjustments within your body.
We are all difference and how we metabolise our hormones is very individual.
