Does anyone have fluctuating goitre ?

I'm interested to know if anyone else has a goitre that varies in size? Growing larger but also reducing in size again.

My endo has told me that's not possible as Hashimoto's is progressive, so goitre can only grow larger and larger. But I can clearly see and feel (and people around me tell me this is true too) that it is sometimes larger than other times. So I'd be interested to know if this is common.

That sounds like there are many reasons for size to fluctuate and it's actually quite normal?

Does it grow larger without exercise? How does menstrual cycle influence it?

I've not paid attention if it goes together with certain behaviours, periods of the month, etc.
