Hello all,

Managed to get myself involved in a Twitter chain about the above. BTA posted this study which seems to show different things to some of the observational studies. The study authors say they need more research because of this, but just wondered if anyone on the forum had any thoughts on this. Have to say am not hot on Mendelian randomisation!

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/306...

Many thanks in advance for any thoughts!

As Benjamin Disraeli is supposed to have said - "There are lies, damned lies and statistics".

I'm a medical scientist and this was all gobbledegook to me.

Haha! Indeed. It is a bit complex for me to appraise that is for sure!
