Advise on change of meds and dose

Hello all! I was on 50mcg levo and 105mg erfa.

I have now been prescribed 50mcg levo, 60 erfa, and 10mg T3.

Can someone advise me on how best to make the switch please?

Thank you

Witchinghour Levo dose is the same so lets forget about that for the mo.

60mg Erfa contains 35mcg t4 and 8mcg t3. 105mg Erfa is therefore 61mcg t4 and 14t3mcg.

Your doctor is replacing 61mcg T4 and 14mcg of T3 with 35 mcg T4 and 8mcg T3 (in Erfa) and 10mcg T3

So your daily dose of T3 is increasing by 4mcg and your daily dose of T4 is reducing by 26mcg.

How you switch is up to you. Normally I advocate only changing 1 thing then waiting 6 weeks doing bloods, see how you feel and then alter the next thing. That way you know what is having the effect. BUT in this case reducing your Erfa is already reducing the doses of both T3 and T4 so I think you just have to go for it.
