hi does anyone have any experience of asking occupational health to allow you to work from home
My job can be done from home and I would like to do this as my hypothyroidism makes me so tired even on medication I have been referred to occupational health wondering what they might consider ?

Welcome. Do you have your latest blood results to share with us? It could be that you just need an increase in replacement hormone to help your tiredness.
People here benefit from checking key vitamin levels as hypothyroidism causes malabsoption due to low stomach acid. Can you get your GP to check your levels of ferritin, folate, B12 and d3?
Well your employer should make reasonable adjustments whatever they may be, which should mean you could be allowed to work from home. Thing is, they will be expecting you to recover and not permanently tired, so you should be working on getting better which people here are happy to help you with. 🙂
As a teacher, I was given a tailored adjustment plan to make reasonable adjustments to my working life, but this did not include working from home (other than in lockdown). Regular breaks, plus larger pc/ dimmable lighting (as I also have Thyroid Eye Disease) were agreed by OH.
As Jaydee1507 has suggested, members of this forum can help you optimise your thyroid and key vitamins (ferritin, folate, B12 and vitamin D) if you share your blood results with us. Please remember when medics say your results may be ‘in range’, this is not the same as ‘optimal’.
I only began to feel well when both thyroid levels and key vitamins became optimal. I was then able to cope much better at work, with necessary adjustments made.
