T2 an article. Have any of you people seen this and if so thoughts?
There have been a few threads about T2.
For example:
Do we need T2 as well as T3 and T4?

t2 missing hormon?

And others:
The article is very poor.
What Do The Numbers Mean?
How do we make sense of the numbers that follow T4, T3, and T2?
Well, to start, the T here stands for “thyroglobulin.” It’s a protein which is a modification of what we know as tyrosine.
That is flat out wrong.
Thyroglobulin is a large and complex protein substance which occurs inside the thyroid gland. It is in deeply involved in iodinating tyrosine to monoiodotyrosine (MIT) and diiodotyrosine (DIT), then linking two DITs or a DIT and a MIT, to produce the thyroid hormones T4 and T3.
T4 is also known as tetraiodothyronine.
T3 is also known a triiodothyronine.
The T indicates thyronine. (NOT Thyroglobulin.)
Short chains, such as two molecules of tyrosine fusing to form thyronine, are simply not called proteins. Usually scientists don't start calling things proteins until there are at least 20 elements in the long chain. Not just two in a short chain.
Quite honestly, the relevant Wikipedia articles provide a much better scientific explanation.

I read the article, it does make sense that T4 and T3 treatments are going to be lacking a full spectrum of thyroid hormones, if the thyroid can no longer function. It’s a good advert for NDT.
Unfortunately this site is mainly pushing supplements, using articles like this as click bait and if being cynical they are preying on our vulnerabilities.
Products like ‘nodule control’ or ‘adrenal energy’ which they select for you based on a short tick box questionnaire. The ingredients of these are opaque and quantities/doses aren’t easily found plus no encouragement to blood test to understand individual needs.

I'd more likely be convinced if someone could show some evidence as to how much T2 is present in desiccated thyroid and that we can absorb that T2 and make it available to our cells.
I always felt better on NDT, but no longer take it because of all the unreliability here in the U.S. The best way I can explain it is NDT just made me feel like my old self before my TT. I feel "flat" as a person without it. Almost emotionally flat, I guess.
Very happy to believe patient experience. In the end, pretty much nothing else matters.
But it is so easy to jump to conclusions as to why. (I should know - do it all the time!)
in line with that - NDT also contains thyroglobulin however it has always been undetectable in my regular thyroglobulin monitoring testing.
Agree. The "naturals" (prescription and otherwise) also tout that they contain calcitonin - a reason some doctors recommend against NDT for someone who has had medullary thyroid cancer. Another element that comes up undetectable in my blood tests. (I take 2-3 grains/day of NDT and check calcitonin and thyroglobulin levels twice a year.)
I'm hoping to gain a lot more insight from Dr. Bianco's book.

I started using it and gave me immediate mental clarity and energy! This has been the missing piece to the puzzle for me.
