I would like to know what should be tested in my annual Thyroid blood test as I had TT 60 years ago and I am feeling very under medicated at the moment?

How much levothyroxine are you currently taking
Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription
What vitamin supplements are you currently taking
When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 levels last tested
what are your most recent thyroid and vitamin results
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose change or brand change in levothyroxine
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested.
Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum
Low vitamin levels are extremely common on levothyroxine, especially as we get older
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

Only do private testing early Monday or Tuesday morning.
Watch out for postal strikes, probably want to pay for guaranteed 24 hours delivery
I’m taking 125m thyroxine at the moment and no I don’t always get the same brand in fact my latest prescription is different again and one that I haven’t had before fortunately I hadn’t started it before my blood test yesterday and I’m glad to say the tests you mentioned are the ones I asked for and the nurse asked my how I knew about the tests I should have and I told her I had done my own research but she still had to go and check with a doctor and I’m pleased to say he gave the ok. I’ll post results when I get them. Thanks for your help

Looking at previous post
are you still prescribed T3 ?
Day before test, split T3 into two or three smaller doses spread through the day and last dose approx 8-12 hours before test
Hallo, same boat here. TT done in 2011, I only have my FREE T3 and FREE T4 tested was diagnosed with Hashi's originally, am on T3 only. Your TSH will be below measured levels, so no worries there.
I split my dose into 4 each day.
