Yes.

The problem with two makes is that if you have a problem - some sort of side effect or adverse event - which one caused it?

And it is a bad idea to keep changing makes.

Try it and see how it goes.

Or ask to be prescribed 50 microgram Accord and split them. It depends on the attitude of your doctor whether they will agree to that.

You can, some members do mix brands and find no problems. Others need to stick to the same brand.

If you want to stick to the same brand you can have Accord 50mcg tablets and cut them in half or alternate 100/150.

I used to be given different brands of Levo every month. They seemed to just go for the cheapest. After I got on this Forum though, I asked my local Chemist and he always got Accord for me, after that, even though my GP wouldn't agree to put it onto my prescription that I only had Accord,

He didn't like me knowing more than him about thyroid issues. He refused to oversee my trial of T3 because he said it was a very dangerous illegal drug! He said I should never mention it to him again. I told him to ring the police then, please.

I moved to England and the doctor here was told I take T3. He just said if you feel well on it, then I don't blame you. Sense at last.

The 50 microgram Accord tablets have a score line to help with splitting. Accord is also sold by Boots labelled Almus, just the box is different, pills and leaflet all labelled Accord. I'm on 125mcg of Accord, but my doc prescribes 50 mcg pills so I can take 2 and a half each day.

Hi,I take 100mcg Accord (the Boots Almus one) plus 25mcg of another brand. Boots seem to vary what they dispense between Mercury Pharma and Wockhardt and so far I'm fine on these two brands.

My prescription states "not Teva" and I've been wary of specifying a particular brand but I would if I found one suited me better than another.

Hope you find a combination that works well for you!

I too find it easy to split the 50 Accord on my 50/75 variation over the week.
