increased levo.. tips please

Thanks for all replies to my assorted earlier posts and I’ve felt so supported since being hypo diagnosis in April. Happily I’ve now had my dose increased from 50 per day. GP suggesting continue 50 for 4 days then 75 for 3 days and retest in due course. I’d love this all to go seamlessly....... Any tips ??? I will be splitting a 50 tab. Thanks in anticipation.

The only thing I would say is to alternate like this to even it out:

Sun - 50mcg

Mon - 75mcg

Tues - 50 mcg

Wed - 75mcg

Thurs - 50mcg

Fri - 75mcg

Sat - 50mcg

I will be splitting a 50 tab

Only split one tablet at a time, keep the spare half in an air tight container, this will prevent any possible degrading of the tablet which might happen if you split a week's worth at once. I keep mine in one of these small containers

Other than that presumably you take your Levo as advised:

* On it's own with a glass of water and water only for an hour either side

* One hour before or two hours after food

* No other medication or supplements within 2 hours (some need 4)
