Is it normal to have high energy one day and totally tired the next? Is that a hypo/hashimoto thing? It’s as if one day my levothyroxine is working and the next day it feels like i didn’t take it eventhough i did. Does anyone have the same feeling and were you able to make it better?

Energy levels go up and down
Looking at previous post, you are only on 50mcg levothyroxine, this is only the standard STARTER dose
You said you couldn’t tolerate 75mcg
Was this same brand levothyroxine as currently taking
Try increasing SLOWLY upwards ….cut a 25mcg tablet in half to add 12.5mcg (or cut a 50mcg tablet in 1/4)
So increase to 62.5mcg every day
Retest in 6-8 weeks
Likely to be able to tolerate next increase to 75mcg after next test
Essential vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 levels are tested and at good levels. You may need to supplement to improve
Good vitamin levels makes it easier to tolerate levothyroxine increases
Approx how much do you weigh in kilo
Hi Sofie007, I am just the same as you, pretty good one day (which is very, very good for me) followed by tired and sometimes much sleeping on other days. I'm on T3 and a dose higher than is recommended which I take regularly yet still have this fluctuation. Sorry I can't offer any advice but if anyone offers any would you be kind enough to pass it on to me please? Good luck
Thank-you, and I agree about knowing you are not alone helps. My endo believes I have Hashimoto's but no tests done. Testing would be pointless because my TSH is over 95 (coma level) which has a positive, I needn't worry about avoiding gluten 😀. How about you? I do hope you find a solution.
