Pick and Mix?

Is it just me, or are posts getting a bit tangled today? Either I'm going crazy, or paragraphs from one post tend to turn up is several other posts. I find it very doubtful that several people would use exactly the same words, or that one person is writing a heap of posts under several different names.

This extract, for example:

It could be if the cause of your hypothyroidism is autoimmune - known to patients as Hashimoto's disease which is confirmed when thyroid antibodies are raised. Hashi's can cause inflammation. With Hashi's the immune system attacks and gradually destroys the thyroid. Just to complicate things, it's possible to have Hashi's without raised antibodies.

I did ask my Gastroenerologist if I could be referred to a Endercrinologist - but she said that there was no indication for this and it is something that my GP would be very experienced in managing ???

Sorry for this long screed - but hanging on by a thread and grateful for any advice please.

Many thanks

I'm sure I've read it at least four times in different posts today.

Can anyone confirm my suspicions that something weird is going on, before I commit myself to the loony bin? ;D

Yes - I am sure something is happening.

I haven't personally had an issue but it is clear others have.

I've just added an example to my original post. :)

I thought it was me …loosing the plot!

Yes….it was happening yesterday too

I didn't see it yesterday, but today I have the impression I'm losing my mind! lol

Something weird is going on. I read a persons post and the exact same text appeared in a post from a different person that was over two years old. When I read the same post on my phone it didn't happen.

OK, so that confirms it: it's not us! It's HU. Again!

Interesting that it doesn't happen on phones, because SeasideSusie is carrying on as normal, as if nothing is happening, and that increases my feeling of halucinating and seeing double. 🤣🤣🤣

Ha ha! Well I use a PC mostly (and a tablet if I really have to but only when it's too cold to use the conservatory), and I noticed this happening yesterday. Took me a little while to realise what was going on.

Today I was ready for it 💪 and when I've looked at posts and realised "I've seen that somewhere before", I close it down, start again and it's usually sorted itself out.

Definitely some gremlins in the works.

Gremlins with a very weird sense of humour! lol

I have emailed HU support…see if they can sort it out

Thank you. :)

I have reported this to HU support - and already had a reply. (Two minutes maximum!)

They are aware and clearly are actively investigating.

Posts on my phone today are all jumbled, worse than yesterday! Glad to know it’s not my phone 😂

Yes, that would be worrying.

Hi greygoose,

Yes I've been getting the same jumbled messages; I'm using an Android phone

It started last night for me but thought it was user error and I was reading the same post twice. Or that someone was using multiple user names and posting the same info twice. 😊

Thought it could also be a virus! Hope it's sorted soon.

I think you’re right - I noticed that with another post, can’t remember whose post it was though. I’m using an iPad.

I just had this happen in diogenes' latest post. I refreshed the page and the text from elsewhere disappeared.

Ohhhhh that's good to know! I never thought of that. Thank you. :)

I'd be interested in knowing if it is a reliable solution. :)

I'll try it next time I see a pick 'n' mix post. But the last three I've read were ok.

Refreshing the page has been working for me since yesterday. Re-booting didn't help. I'm glad I don't have to buy a new laptop.👍

HealthUnlocked support emailed me at 13:54 to let us know the issue has been resolved.

If it happens again, let support know!

Thanks for the post! Thought it was just me. On Wed and Thurs I could get text to copy from one post to another and back again, so a post could end up duplicated and with someone else's text in the middle. Reported it, but fixed by the time HU wanted examples. (PC)
