Advice please on Thyroid Gland

I received a letter from a Rheumatologist saying “the PET Scan had picked up a paratracheal nodule in the region of the atrophic thyroid gland.”

Does anyone know what this would impact and if it may manifest in weird behaviours ?

As I was not at all familiar with paratracheal nodules, I looked around. And almost immediately realised that there are many possible causes and nothing is obvious or clear.

They vary in impact and include parathyroid adenoma through to a fungal infection via lots else.

Definitely it is something that you need to discuss with your doctors.

I'm sorry - I really do not know. But so many things can do. Especially if it relates to your thyroid hormone levels.
