Every make of levothyroxine has the same claims of potency - and should have very similar levels of active ingredient.
Synthroid is just a trademark/registered name for one make of levothyroxine.
A 100 micrograms of levothyroxine is approximately the size of a crystal of ordinary sugar. By far the majority of every tablet consists of excipients (other ingredients).
We all vary in how these excipients affect us. Many, probably most, members here feel some makes are more acceptable than others but this is individual. I might like A but not B. Whereas another member might like B but not A.
There is nothing I can say about any possible difference because I don't know the composition of the other make you have received.
Many here request to get the same make every time they get their prescription dispensed. Random jumps among makes can be a problem but sometimes we simply do have to accept what is available.
Most makes can be identified by markings if they are available in EU, UK, USA, Canada and a number of other areas/countries. But in some countries this information is not readily available.
