Hi is anyone had a bad headache and feel cold intolerance and dizzy spells with acid reflux and if so what did they take to subside this been getting this for years

Looking at previous post 2 years ago ….you were on 175mcg levothyroxine and had thyroidectomy 25 years ago

Is that correct

How much levothyroxine are you currently taking

Do you always get same brand

ALWAYS test thyroid levels early morning, ideally before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking, if any

Please add most recent thyroid and vitamin results and ranges

Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose change or brand change in levothyroxine

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested.

Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if under medicated or poor conversion of Ft4 to Ft3

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally before 9am last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

Hi Tadger,

Has your GP investigated the cause of your reflux?

I've got a hiatus hernia and take heart meds which both cause reflux, so I can really sympathise because I've had it for years too. Last year I also got a coeliac diagnosis, and the reflux has improved since being gluten free. It is worth asking your GP to test for this (even if you've been tested before),.............if you're not gf already.

I'm cold all the time too. It sucks. 😞
