I can’t find much regarding this tea and hashimotos. Is it safe is it ok? I only drink 2 cups of tea max per day and would like to switch to this instead but wondering if it’s safe. I am not on medication yet for my hashi (not bad enough my dr says and also had other hormonal issues so trying to sort those first)…thanks so much

Hi
I love matcha and have drunk it on and off for years, I don't know if it affects thyroid but it is pretty high in caffeine. If you're caffeine sensitive then try and limit yourself and don't drink it too close to bedtime. Also don't drink it for at least an hour after taking thyroid hormones.
Thanks. I am not sure I am sensitive to caffeine but stopped caffe years ago and live happily without it, so don’t really I tend to drink it again for now.
I read that caffeine in matcha is not the same structure as in coffee so hoping it’s ok. Main reason I would take is to improve brain fog and of course get any other benefits it may bring.
Bought some from a really good company so hoping it’s going to be good. My friend says she loves it and it tastes great but she doesn’t have hashi.
