T3 and levo dosage

Hi, could someone suggest if my meds needs tweaking at all. I’m on 125mg levo and 50mcg t3. Don’t know why my t3 has dropped again. I’m feeling tired but can’t sleep and low mood. Could be unrelated, but maybe my levels? Any advice is appreciated.

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

On day before blood test, split T3 into 3 smaller doses, at roughly equal 8 hour intervals, taking last 1/3rd of daily dose approx 8-12 hours before test

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 last tested

I followed all the guidelines and my vit d was last tested a couple of months ago. It was near to 200 for I dropped my dose a little. Others not done for a while.

It's quite common for FT4 to drop while on T3. It's not that unusual for FT3 to drop as well when it has been high in range. I think it means that the total amount of thyroid hormone T4 & T3 that you are dosing is too high for your body and it is making adjustments accordingly.

What is important is to maintain a level of FT3 at which you feel well. To do this you may have to reduce your levo, maybe even by quite a lot, which is counterintuitive I know. Think of it as making more room for the T3.
