How do I get out out of a flare up fast? Any tips?

HI everyone

I am currently on 1.5 grains of Amour Thyroid and 40mcg T3. It has been working pretty well except I have had a grim flare up the last week. All over aches, can't even get to the shops, crawling through life, if I make dinner then I need two glasses of wine to anesthetise the pain,...you get the idea...Any ideas how to get out of one? All help much appreciated.

Are you sure this is to do with your thyroid? Have you had bloods done? Very unlikely you would be under-medicated with that high dose of T3. But, you could be over-medicated. Not even sure that hypo 'flare-ups' are a thing...

1 grain of NDT is approx equal to 100mcg of levothyroxine. 25mcg of T3 is approx equal to 100 mcg of levothyroxine so it would seem to me - and I am not medically qualified - that you may have taken too high a dose.
