I have an appoinment coming up to fight for my T3 with endo.
I have done 23 and ME, please let me know how to find out if I have the gene in my results( from memory I think it was called dio 2). Because it will be evidence that I need t3.
I have access to the raw data but I need to know what to search.
Also any other genes related to thyrpid or adrenals/hasimotos.
Thanks

Charlotte6789, Be aware that it does depend on when you did your 23&Me test, as to whether or not you have the relevant SNPs listed in your data.
Extract from this paper in European Thyroid Journal
Hypothyroid Patients Encoding Combined MCT10 and DIO2 Gene Polymorphisms May Prefer L-T3 + L-T4 Combination Treatment – Data Using a Blind, Randomized, Clinical Study karger.com/Article/FullText...
'Conclusion: The present study indicates that the combination of polymorphisms in DIO2 (rs225014) and MCT10 (rs17606253) enhances hypothyroid patients’ preference for L-T4 + L-T3 replacement therapy. '
So I think that suggests you need to look for rs225014 and rs17606253.
If anyone has more info and/or understanding of this, they will hopefully chime in
