5 days ago I added 6.25mcg of T3 to my existing dose of 125mcg of levothyroxine and 12.5mcg of T3. Initially, I felt nothing but in the last 24 hours I've had two periods of feeling hot and uncomfortable with some weird sensations in my chest. They go away quite quickly and my resting heart rate hasn't gone up from 63bpm.
Is it normal to have some difficulty adapting to a higher dose of T3 and then for it to settle? Or do my symptoms indicate I'm over-medicated? I was thinking about asking my endo to prescribe 3x5mcg of T3 per day so I'm on a bit less than the 18.75 per day I'm currently on. Unfortunately, I don't think he's likely to agree to any increase on the 12.5mcg he originally agreed to. Another option would be to reduce my dose of levothyroxine.

Each new dose takes six weeks to fully get into your body so tread very carefully. How long ago did change the dose? And how much had you increased it by? I’m thinking you may have increased too much.
Thanks for your input. I increased my dose of T3 by 6.25mcg one week ago. Before the increase I was on 125mcg of levothyroxine and 12.5mcg of T3. Now I'm on 125mcg of levothyroxine and 18.75mcg of T3.
It's certainly worrying and I was hoping to find out if anyone else had had a similar experience and then felt it settle down.
