BIRDS OF A FEATHER I have experienced 3 premature births one miscarriage, cold, chemical, sensitivity. Aura seizures, either a stroke or seizure, (no definite diagnosis) I have felt like a lunatic because my condition by medical Doctors went undiagnosed. I was diagnosed by a holistic nurse who has stopped practicing. Last month I experienced a cytokine storm and it was terrifying, mostly because I had to place my care in a Dr. who knew nothing about my condition and treated me with distain which made it worse. Listening with the heart doesn't seem to exist in the medical field. All 4 of my children have Hashimoto. I had steroid shots to strengthen my uterus, so altogether I had 9 pregnacy's. My daughter is my rock, she does a lot of research and keeps me updated. Wonderful to find a family that I can communicate with. Simply because we are vertical and breathing and have no outward appearance of the inner destruction that is occurring most people think we're attention seekers. Hello everyone like me!

Welcome to our forum levigracie and am sorry you have a dysfunctional thyroid gland.

Your pregnancies and miscarriage could have been affected if your thyroid hormones weren't optimal.

In case you don't know the method when having blood tests for thyroid hormones this is the recommendation:-

Always make the earliest appointment for the blood draw. Allow a gap of 24 hours between your last dose of thyroid hormones and the test and take afterwards.

If GP hasn't tested B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate request these. Always get a print-out of your test results, with the ranges, for your own records and post if you have a query.
