I recently found several lumps around / on my thyroid which are pea size / slightly bigger hard lumps. Doctor did bloods and they came came back fine and I had to push for an ultrasound.
Ultra sound had detected something but that is all I was told and I waited 3 weeks to speak to my doctor. She confirmed that I have chronic inflamed thyroiditis ( which is Hashimotos right? Which I knew) and also I have several lumps in the thyroid tissue which are thyroid nodules. She said that it is nothing to worry about and that I do not need to be referred or have my thyroid out at this stage.
I explained I’ve been having tightness in my thyroid, a constant sore throat/ croaky voice and burning in my throat. She said it’s not linked?
I feel like I should get a second opinion? Can anyone advise and explain further about nodules?
Thank you

Presumably you had 25mcg dose increase in levothyroxine after this result
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose change or brand change in levothyroxine
Likely to need further increase in levothyroxine
When were thyroid levels last tested
What vitamin supplements are you currently taking
Presumably you had LOADING dose vitamin D (300,000iu vitamin D over 6-8 weeks) vitamin D should be retested at end of loading dose and you will definitely need ongoing maintenance dose vitamin D everyday
Presumably you are still on folic acid supplements and B12 injections or B12 daily tablets
Was ferritin tested. If not it should be plus full iron panel test for anaemia
