Just a quick question prior to a blood test.

In the last couple of months I changed from taking my T3 in two doses to taking one at bedtime, I thought I would do it for convenience and it hasn't affected how I feel ( I still feel great) and I sleep really well too.

However I have a blood test on Thursday morning and I'm not sure whether I should take the day before's T3 in two doses or just take the 12.5 mcg dose earlier in the evening to allow 10-12 hours before the blood test. I obviously want to avoid freaking out the doctors should my T3 come back higher than they would like is this likely to happen if I take the whole dose in one go ?

I have already changed the timing of my levo so that 24 hours will have passed when I get the BT and I'll take my levo immediately after the blood draw.

Any advice would be very welcome.

It would be best to split your dose the day before the test, maybe take it in two doses, the second dose 8-12 hours before the time of your test.

I take my one daily dose when I get up and when I am having a blood test I take my T3 dose after the blood draw. No-one has queried anything about my results. The best thing is I feel well and no symptoms.

Glad you feel well, I usually take my T3 at bedtime in one dose, it seems to work just as well as splitting it for me. Does that mean you leave 24 hours between your T3 and your blood draw? I'll have a think about what would be best , thanks for responding Shaws.
