Bloods, CT Scan confusion

I have been advised today I am subclinical hyperthyroid with hypothyroid symptoms???

CT Scan has shown I have a multinodual goitre 4.6x3x5cm, trauma to the trachea, windpipe and foodpipe, as well as narrowing in my larynx, arthritis in my jaw (strange no symptoms) and a remarkable left thyroid (again strange as I had this removed in 1997)

Can anyone give me some advise please, my GP has referred me to ENT but I have a private appt next week with a ENT specialist. Totally had enough!!!!! Thankyou

Blood results are

TSH 0.33 (0.38-5.5)

FT4 14.6 (10-18.7)

FT3 5.0 (3.5-6.5)

Are you currently taking any levothyroxine or any other medications

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

Was test done as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies

Low vitamin levels tend to lower TSH

Ask GP to test vitamin levels

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or thyroid antibodies or all relevant vitamins
