My document tells you all the ones that are available:

dropbox.com/s/shcwdwpedzr93...

In 100 microgram tablets, avoiding Accord and Teva, you have a choice of Mercury Pharma levothyroxine or Mercury Pharma Eltroxin (which are absolutely identical to each other) or Aristo levothyroxine.

Wow, what an incredible resource! With such an enormous list of thyroid medications it makes you wonder why the medical profession is so pathetic on this subject. If every GP would just experiment with three medications per ailing patient and then report their findings to some "crowd source", even if they first ended up with something like "Teva Bad, Pfizer Good" it would narrow the field and be one small step for mankind.

And it is far from complete!

There are many others - especially from companies which operate in languages other than English.

Yes, I did notice it didn't have Armour on it nor the acronym NDT, although ThyroGold was mentioned (which is one of the latter).

Around about page 49!

Desiccated Thyroid

A list of desiccated thyroid products with declared thyroid hormone content.

These might not all be approved medicines, but they are known and subject to some regulation and oversight.

I avoid use of the abbreviation NDT because I believe use of the term undermines the case for it being prescribed.

As soon as a doctor sees "natural" they will tend to switch off and dismiss the product.

Ah yes indeed, page 49, I was probably getting cross eyed by then. I searched for "Natural Desiccated", I should have chosen the second and third words - and as for Armour, I could have spelled it wrong! Good job I am not a Pharmacist.

Just imagine how cross-eyed I became actually producing it! :-)

Obviously I have no idea how you spelled/typed "Armour" when searching for it - but you did post with the correct spelling. :-)

I'm with helvella on this. These days, there's nothing 'natural' about desiccated thyroid, and in my experience, mentioning it to conventional medics engenders only raised eyebrows or feigned ignorance!

Medical doctors' view:

More recently, ‘natural” desiccated thyroid preparations are available in natural food stores and by mail order and may have none or potentially excessive quantities of thyroid hormone (15). Such preparations should be withdrawn from the market. ’
