If you are feeling unwell try calling the GP surgery or 111 for medical advice. It is really important you keep fluid levels up. I often pass on food it feeling unwell but always drink water. Not that I suggest anyone follow my example. Your symptoms could be due to another cause which needs to be investigated. From what I have read nearly everyone on here who has been vaccinated has tolerated it extremely well. I have just seen one list where the person is on bed rest today following vaccination yesterday. What advise were you given by staff at the vaccination centre?

Check out the poll post and members' experiences of their Covid vaccinations, all in one place to keep all information together :

You might care to check the information for the vaccine you received.

I had it on Monday evening and woke with awful aching on Tuesday. I spent the day berating myself for agreeing to have it but by 7pm I was feeling quite a lot better and ate a hearty supper. I think we are all so different but it does not sound as though you should worry yet. My arm has become sore where the needle went in but nothing serious, I read online that some people have been unwell for several days, so I hope you feel better by tomorrow

You might not have noticed the poll on Covid vaccination? If you have not already done so,. you might wish to add your experience to the poll and add a response, if you wish.

I had my vaccine 2 weeks ago and apart from a slight soreness for a few hours the day after I had no symptoms at all. I'm on 100 micro grams a day of Levothyroxine.

I had flu like symptoms the day after my vaccination, but they were gone by the next day. The matron at our practice couldn’t go to work the day after her vacation, but also recovered quickly.

I haven’t been diagnosed yet though my last TSH was 4.9 [0.2-5.5] 😩

I had a headache, nausea and achy feeling for 3 days after. They said it is pretty common for people to have these side effects which can last a few days. They also said that some people had flu like symptoms, but I never had that.

I did already respond to the poll btw. but I’ve been reading in various posts on my craft forum that if people have had a reaction to the vaccine it just means that your body has started recognising and fighting it. Which is what I logically always thought about any reaction to a vaccine too.The trouble in my mind now is that I didn’t get any reaction at all, not even a sore arm where the needle went in. So my mind is now telling me that if I get COVID my body won’t bother fighting it off.

Thinking back to being 15 and getting the TB jab in my leg at school, I didn’t get anything happen to my leg after that but my best friend did, hers came up in a big angry red lump.

I don’t know what to think about it now and I’m normally a very sensible person.

All I can think about is how fast the next 11 weeks go by until we have our 2nd.

I think that you can report side effects so that they can build up a picture of reactions.

Don't forget to yellow card the vaccination - the NHS is very keen to know about side effects

Just a quick note to say if you are feeling sick, and not eating, try drinking some coke (the bottle stuff, not the white powder!!!), as this contains sugar to keep you going, and the bubbles stop you feeling sick. Any sugary fizzy drink will do. Hope you feel better soon.

I have had flu type symptoms for a week after my jab. It lasted for a week, left me with a cough, but if it means the end of Covid I will gladly go through it again.
