I can only lose weight when both free T4 and free T3 are nice and high in range. I can't see that you have posted any recent blood results - a couple of months ago you were picking up your latest results?? Are your key nutrients also good?
Beyond that: you need enough calories to convert properly, so very low calorie diets are a mistake. As are diet "shakes" which inevitably contain soy (which you should avoid).
So you need to eat "real" food, and avoid the rubbish - booze, fizzy drinks, crisps, biscuits etc, you know the drill. If I'm trying to lose weight I allow myself a treat or two a week (or you'd go mad) - and eat lots of veg, with meat and fish and not too much carb.
I also do the "intermittent fasting" thing (nearly three years now - it's a way of life) whereby you eat all your calories within a restricted time window - in my case midday to 7 pm - so it's just hot water for me in the mornings - which really helps in keeping weight stable and lots of people find the weight drops off doing this.
The "eat less move more" mantra isn't a lot of help - for us hypos it's really difficult x
Thanks for your reply, I last had a check think nov dec . And came back that I was on correct dose 100 levothyroxine. And my meds didn't need altering.
I do think sometimes iam eating when I am probably just thirsty. On sertraline also. Doc said feeling thirsty and drinking more is side effect.
I might start writing down what iam actually eating too. In lockdown ,not best time to avoid treats . Need something to look forward to.
