Do you have your latest blood tests to share? Why was your medication reduced?

Feelings of anxiety and fatigue are very common with thyroid conditions and will improve when thyroid medication and key vitamins are optimal.

Just testing TSH is completely inadequate

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

Presumably you have Graves’ disease?

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested.

Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels are extremely common with Graves and Hashimoto’s

Ask GP to test vitamin levels

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Is this how you do your tests?

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or thyroid antibodies or all relevant vitamins

List of private testing options

thyroiduk.org/getting-a-dia...

Medichecks Thyroid plus antibodies and vitamins

medichecks.com/products/adv...

Thriva Thyroid plus antibodies and vitamins By DIY fingerpick test

thriva.co/tests/thyroid-test

Thriva also offer just vitamin testing

Blue Horizon Thyroid Premium Gold includes antibodies, cortisol and vitamins by DIY fingerprick test

If you can get GP to test vitamins and antibodies then cheapest option for just TSH, FT4 and FT3

£29 (via NHS private service ) and 10% off down to £26.10 if go on thyroid uk for code

Also vitamin D available as separate test via MMH

Or alternative Vitamin D NHS postal kit

In quite a number of posts on this forum, when their dose has been adjusted according to their TSH result alone, symptoms can arise again.

I have never read that someone who had hyperthyroidism had their dose reduced so drastically. If you felt well before reduction I'd request an increase.

Do you have your results of your latest results, with the ranges that you can post?

TSH = thyroid stimulating hormone is from the pituitary gland and rises when thyroid gland is struggling.

It's amazing that so many doctors adjust dose i.e. reduce/increase upon a TSH result alone.

Just tested for tsh and result was 1.5

That would tell the doctor that you're o.k. as TSH is good and you shouldn't need an increase. I will add in SlowDragon as she is more knowledgeable than myself. As stated above only testing TSH isn't sufficient.
