I’ve discovered that Synthroid (brand) levothyroxine has trace amounts of gluten (informed through research). Makes me Ill every time. The only brand that I know for certain that doesn’t is made by Mylan.

Not in any way challenging that you feel bad from Synthroid, that is what happens to you.

But there have been numerous statements that Synthroid (and all UK medicines bar a few with obvious wheat content) do not have any gluten in them.

For example:

Each SYNTHROID tablet contains the inactive ingredients acacia, confectioner's sugar (contains corn starch), lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, povidone, and talc. SYNTHROID tablets contain no ingredients made from a gluten-containing grain (wheat, barley, or rye).

Do you have any specific information you can share with us?

And have you made an appropriate report? (In the UK that would be a Yellow Card report. Not sure where you are located.)
