From previous post:

Folate was 11.8ng/ml, range is 3.90-26.80ng/ml,

A separate Folate supplement would really only be needed for Folate deficiency or very low in range. Yours isn't far off the recommended level of at least half way through range, (15.5+ with that range) and adding Folate rich foods to your diet may be enough.

You shouldn't take iron tablets without an iron panel and full blood count to know if you have iron deficiency or iron deficiency anaemia and then your GP should prescribe and regularly monitor your levels.

If you test and have low Ferritin only but no iron deficiency or iron deficiency anaemia, then eating iron rich foods regularly can help raise Ferritin, eg liver, liver pate, black pudding, etc.

Hi, sorry to hijack thread, what tests make up an iron panel?
