Which DO YOU think is the best and most stabile t3 in Europe? what are your experiences if you have tried different brands.
Some seem to misinterpret my post, I wish to discuss different types of t3 medications and their effectiveness and not have a philosophical discussion about "there is no best brand and everything is completely individual". It is individual how people react to medications but there are good and bad brands when it comes to medicines.
I would be happy to receive a pm about how to get a stabile t3 since Im on a bad brand right now but unable to switch.

Well, I disagree there are many different medicines which are better than others even if it is individual how you react so please, it would be good if my post could be about what I intended it to be about.

Put your big girl pants on and be polite in your responses! YOU have now made this post about ‘acceptable’ behaviour and not ‘best brand’ of which there is not a singular or multiple name that we could give you. What suits one person dies not suit another.
So, by saying that you mean to shut down what I want to discuss? I think of it like this, either a person can contribute to the question or just decide to not answer it. It doesn't help me if someone thinks that there is no best or stabile brands of t3, as we know there are differences in many medicines. Like brands of ndt that have gone downhill over the years.
No. I’m saying that the tone of your reply was unwarranted and this comes after an evening of reading several posts that have had the same tone and I think I’m struggling with that.
But what is it you want people to say? There is no best brand of T4 either - many people who did great on Euthyrox for years had to switch to another brand after it was reformulated to include mannitol. But some still do well or even better on it since the reformulation. Some are lactose-intolerant so won´t do well on a brand containing lactose, etc. People react differently to different brands of NDT, and various reformulations have also affected the way some brands work for people. Why would T3 be any different?
Even if other people tell you which brand of T3 they do best on, there are no guarantees that will work best for you. For every person who says: "X works best for me", someone else will say "X was the worst brand for me".
I'm afraid with an attitude like that advice and support might be thin on the ground. Though I suspect members would rise above petty jibes if help is needed!

I appreciate that you may be feeling unwell, but directing your thoughts from atop a high horse won't get you anywhere.

Kailey99, this is a UK-based forum though of course everyone is welcome here.
I don’t think anyone’s being deliberately difficult. But to put this into context, very few U.K. posters can persuade their doctors to prescribe T3, even in the face of clear clinical need, because of how ridiculously expensive it is here in the U.K. Several hundred Euros a packet (and yes, we know it’s only a few Euros in other European countries. Sore point).
So we just don’t have the experience to answer your question because if we get prescribed T3 at all, we’ve done well... and often have to accept whatever the pharmacist has ordered in.
Oh, just imagine having a choice of T3 brands, folks... Nope. Can’t.
Many end up ordering it off the good old worldwide web at their own expense and own risk. And often that means it doesn’t come from Europe at all.
And, even buying on-line you don't get much choice these days. You think yourself lucky to have found any at all.
But, for what it's worth, over the years I've tried a lot of different brands; and I find them all much of a muchness. Very little difference between them, so I'd be hard put to say which one was best - probably wouldn't be able to get it now, anyway.
I get the NHS prescribed t3 which is Mercury but previously I had Thybon Henning from Germany. I find the Mercury to be weaker and some batches seem to not work well. I liked Thybon. I felt like it worked better for me. Having said that I have read on this forum that other members have not got on with it at all. So I do think it’s an individual thing and difficult to make any recommendation as to the best one.
My wife would second that re Cynomel. She also thinks Tiromel is good. She won't have Teva - she says she doesn't think it contains the full dose of T3 and often wondered whether it had got any T3 in it at all. She also shuns Teva's Amlodipine, which gives her heart flutter, whereas other brands don't (as long as they're besilate, most are nowadays). She's not a fan of Teva at all - maybe it's something they use in compounding their products.
Didn't know Cynomel was once again available. I've talked to many people who thought it was the best until Grossman stopped manufacturing it. There's only one site from Mexico that sells it(I'm in the US) and not sure if it's legit, though I might try it if others are using it.
I think I accidentally found cynomel, and the farmacia here (Mexico) said there isn’t any more. After looking it says (JUN21) expires and lot #, 100 tablets, maybe the last one? They have ordered me another brand and say it’s the same...I will find out tomorrow and let you know.
I really like cynomel after I figured out correct dosing,
I get Sanofi ThyBon Henning 20mcg from Germany privately. I feel this is best for me. I also have Mayne Pharma 5mcg from the NHS. This is also good for me. I did get Mercury Pharma initially from the NHS but for some reason didn’t suit me. The NHS pharmacist matched the ThyBon Henning ingredients best she could and found me the Mayne Pharma. Both these are manufactured in Germany I believe and both suit me.
I had to swap from Greek UniPharma T3 to Turkish Tiromel T3 as I could no longer get it reliably and got ripped off for £200.00 by the company that has never been named on here but has been ripping everyone off. I was extremely ill when I gradually made the transition as I went hyper! There was a big difference for me in how I absorbed the Turkish Tiromel and I ended up being on a dose of 37.25mg from 81.25mg on the Greek Brand. Strange as most people say generally they are much of a muchness. Needless to say not a smooth transition as was very unwell for a good month till got a handle on it.
I know!!! I knew at the time (am going back to last year now) that there was a company that was fleecing people but I was recommended them by a Thyroid Expert who I am working with so didn't question the company. Little did I know that he hadn't ordered from them for a few years and they had become swindlers. Plus because their names aren't mentioned on this forum I got stung. I think such companies should be named and shamed on here so that people don't then get swindled out of more money because yes it is still happening. The fact their name is sensored is just helping them to carry on doing it.
At least the administrators know about it and people are encouraged to contact any of them before purchasing T3 online. Since suppliers cannot be named on the forum, at least admins can warn members about dishonest sellers.

You know that it is against posting guidelines to name any supplier of prescription only items without prescription, can I remind you of this post of yours last year and my reply:
Just because they turned rogue we still cannot name them, doing so would put ThyroidUK at risk of libel. If you had checked out the information you were given by your "thyroid expert" with me or another Admin then you would have been cautioned against using them.
I am okay on it now. What I am saying is that I am on a very different dose. So rather than gradually switching over the same dose I was on before, to make a safe transition...there was a massive difference in the strength for me personally. The only explanation could be the fillers in it which mean I absorb it better.
I managed to get unipharma t3, gave me more energy but also went down with bad headaches at the same time. Could be a coincidence as I had also gone through a lot of stress.
May try them again, smaller dose once the headaches have cleared up.
I am lucky enough to be prescribed T3 on the NHS. I find Morningside the best and have it written on my prescription. But believe me, it took a very long road indeed to get it!
