You have all been great on here the past week and I have got another question. I have got my blood results from last week when I was in A and E. They did a D Dimer test which came back as high and indicates a blood clot which is why I then had a CT scan and thankfully I don't but it still indicates blood clotting problems from other autoimmune disorders which I have. I have raised Antiphospholipids and Lupus anticoagulant. I don't have Lupus, just the anticoagulant part of it. My D Dimer result was 1295 and 560 as part of it is based on your age, and I am 56. I am struggling to understand the result and have got a Doctor ringing me later on as I have now put in a complaint. Also can anyone help with my liver enzyme test which was GGT 299 and classed as elevated

GGT is a general indicator of liver health, and there are lots of reasons for an elevated level. Some of the commonest causes are fatty liver, high alcohol intake, high carbohydrate and/or sugar intake, damage from supplements and prescribed medicines. For more info :

As for your D-Dimer result I only know that the test has something to do with blood clotting, but that is all. For more info see here :
