My prescriptions are marked to show that I prefer Mercury Pharma levothyroxine - and I do not want Teva. Normally I collect my repeat prescriptions from the pharmacy, and check what they've given me before I leave the premises - because they've got it wrong many times. But this time, unasked, they have delivered my prescription to my house. The guy was in a hurry, so I didn't make him wait while I checked the contents. Schoolboy error!!
So I've been given 50mcg's of MP, but the 100mcg's are Accord, which I've never had before. I don't suppose Accord are MP under another name, are they? If not, are they another brand under another name?

Accord 100mcg (used to be Actavis) are the same as Northstar 100mcg and Almus 100mcg. Definitely not MP.
I've been taking Actavis/Accord for donkeys years with no problems, but it doesn't mean that everyone will get on with it. If you'd rather not chance it can you contact the pharmacy or pop along? How strange they delivered your medications for you, I wish mine would!
Thanks for clarifying the makers - I'll give the pharmacy a ring and see if they've got any MP in stock. If not, I've still got some MP 100's left to keep me going, so I'll ask them to get some MP in. I'd rather not chance the Accord - I've got enough things going wrong at the moment (not wrong with ME, just 'stuff' going wrong!) so I don't want to risk adding something else to the list.
First time ever delivery for me - no idea why they did that. I was expecting to go along tomorrow, only to be told it wasn't ready yet and prepared for a 10 minute wait (as usual!). TBH I'd rather collect them anyway - the number of times they get it wrong would mean me going back anyway
So the pharmacy did have MP in stock, so I toddled down there and swapped them over. No doubt the Accords went straight in the bin (as I believe they're supposed to) - what a waste of money. Can't anyone do anything correctly these days??
