Why are you taking two different brands?

You could be reacting to the fillers in one or both but you wouldn't know which one you coped with best. Another thing to be aware of is that what it says on the box isn't necessarily the manufacturer. For example, North Star could be one of two different makers, depending on dose - and neither of those makers is North Star itself.

North Star is actually made by either Teva or Accord.

100mcg is not a very high dose and you might need an increase of 25mcg. humanbean is right about mixing different brands and you should stick to one that suits you.

How long have you been on 100mcg levothyroxine

Which brand of levothyroxine do you normally take?

Always get same brand of levothyroxine once you find one that suits you

Not a good idea to mix brands.

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies

Do you have Hashimoto’s

Ask GP to test vitamin levels

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)

Is this how you do your tests?

Feeling fed up is common hypothyroid symptom. Ask GP to test thyroid levels

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or thyroid antibodies or all relevant vitamins
