Yes. The T3 in NDT is what lowers FT4. TSH also tends to be low when on NDT, often to the point of being suppressed. It's the FT3 result that's important when taking NDT.
When you add T3 to your medication it can make Ft4 lower. Some folk are fine with low Ft4. Others, like me, need their FT4 well over half way through the range and balanced with their Ft3 - ie both about the same % through range.
Thank you. My T3 is 5.7 so well up in range, T4 down to 10.4, so a little low. TSH is 7 which I know is high but I can't tolerate more T4 and feel pretty good, thank you very much for asking and for your comments
