NICE guidelines in pregnancy

Hello,

Could anyone link me to the NICE guidelines for thyroid management in pregnancy? I remember some from a few years ago when I was pregnant but the website has changed and I can't find what I am looking for.

Thank you

Not meaning to be picky - just accurate!

There is no formal NICE guideline for hypothyroidism in pregnancy. But there are Clinical Knowledge Summaries which were inherited, and are now overseen, by NICE.

cks.nice.org.uk/hypothyroid...

There are also American Thyroiud Association guidelines:

liebertpub.com/doi/full/10....

Hopefully these will help.

Others might indicate other sources of information.

Thank you!

It's the "lothian" one that I have seen before, I thought I had found it through the NICE website though.

Is this what my Dr will use to treat me during pregnancy?

Could anyone explain the discrepancy between the first trimester T4 reference ranges? In the chart it says 9-18 but the "T4 replacement" paragraph it says 16-21pmol/L that seems hugely different!

It also suggests retesting after two weeks of increased dose. This normally would be long enough?

Not what you're looking for?
