Whilst I have a Thyroid problem, my hair loss turned out to be due to high levels of Testosterone which was confirmed by a blood test. Increased facial hair is also a give away of this conditions. Due to PCSO and reducing female hormones as you get older.
FOR some yes if you find the deficiency, too little or too much of any hormone or vitamin can be a cause or trigger , iron, d3, b12, thyroid hormone, dhea converting to dht, allergy to sulphate chemical laden shampoos and conditioners is common in many people and some see result to shamp and conditioners w biotin and without all the chemicals....but usually by the time it effects hair...it can be a combination of many things...and takes many things to address it. You can start with thyroid and vitamin test....low normal ferritin and iron are common culprits, low d3, dht sensitivity, inbalance of hormones, etc. When hormone suddenly change after birth or menopause, is also a common trigger . Also cortisol effects hair and a 4 times a day saliva test you can order online can show if that is a issue from too much stress. Sleeping at least 8 hours a night very important, no stress,, eating whole food and staying away from sugar , can help....but many times it is not easy to find the trigger
