Hi are usually take this brand of thyroid tablets I don’t have a prescription are usually buy them from Thailand and so far my numbers have been the best they have been with this brand I know that non-prescription medicines cannot be talked about on the forum so if anybody could recommend where I could now buy this from could they please message me I’ve tried to source them this morning and cannot find it anywhere with most sellers saying it is out of stock

Thankyou

Or if anybody could suggest a alternative or tell me how I can get mads prescribed via prescription. My GP is on willing to do anything that is not within her code of practice including prescribing medicines that are not are not licenced

Thiroyd is no longer being produced, nor is TR. The only Thai brand available is Thyroid-S and that appears to be in short supply and quite difficult to source at the moment, it's also risen in price considerably over the last few months.

If your GP is willing to prescribe NDT, eg Armour or one of the other brands, then ThyroidUK has a list of pharmacies who will dispense them if your local pharmacy cannot:

thyroiduk.org/tuk/treatment...

It might be an idea to check prices first because if you are paying for a private prescription rather than getting them prescribed on the NHS then you'll need to ring round to compare prices.

Some members have tried Metavive, a thyroid glandular with no declared hormone content, and are happy with it. It's available in the UK (just Google). There is also Thyrogold and Thyrovanz which again are thyroid glandulars but they come from overseas so again look at price and factor in any delay in delivery.

You could also look at "ThyroActive from Regenerative Nutrition" (Google the whole thing otherwise the wrong item will come up, don't buy a "thyroid support" supplement that contains iodine and other vitamins) which I've very recently heard about. It does come from overseas but it might be an alternative for you

I would add that I have no personal knowledge of any of these alternatives, they're just suggestions.

If anyone can help with any other information they will send you a private message, and I will turn off replies to your post so that no information is posted here.

I have edited your post to remove the picture. It had a web link to a supplier in plain text for all to see. That is not allowed.

Please feel free to re-add a picture, but without a web link or supplier name. :-)
