Hyperparathyroidism 3 years after hypothyroid

Has anyone experienced Hyperparathyroidism along with hypothyroid. I was dx 2 years ago with polymyalgia rhuematica. Pain has been out of control, palpitations, fatigue and other stuff!

I have been told I will need surgery to remove the parathyroid gland that is too active

Any info or ideas welcome
