Too far for me, but I would be interested if there are any other venues closer to Nottingham
I went to a couple of BTF events many years ago whilst suffering from extreme symptoms with a mutinodular goitre. I learned precisely nothing and received no advice at all. They appeared more interested in getting items for their tombola. Was admitted to hospital a few weeks later as an emergency case.
There have been several who have spoken/written similarly about the BTF. 
I certainly don't expect anything much from the event. Just hope that someone goes and lets them know...
I was going and then absent mindly booked a holiday as my diary looked clear. (I had put the meeting in my mobile's diary using the wrong gmail login, didn't realise it mattered). The BTF is much better than it used to be. However, they are not responsible for the NICE guidelines although they had input as did other thyroid groups.
