I did take some HRT and I think it was that name and it seemed to rev up my metabolism and I lost weight and looked fab and felt energetic and well. However, later I did decided to stop HRT altogether because of cancer. I do think the kliofem made me more hyper . What are your concerns? There are possible side effects listed for kliofem, although as I said I did not experience any but felt fab on them, until I had breast cancer and was worried about taking any hormones after that diagnosis, although not told to stop by my doc because my cancer was not from estrogen. Some of the possible side effects of Kliofem listed are shared below although they might not be all that are warned of by the manufacturer.

Gut disturbances, such as nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, bloating, flatulence, indigestion.

Menstrual bleeding or spotting. See important information above.

Vaginal thrush.

Increase in the size of uterine fibroids.

Breast pain, tenderness or enlargement.

Fluid retention, causing swelling (oedema).

Headache or migraine.

Premenstrual-like symptoms.

Depression, anxiety, irritability or mood changes.

Changes in sex drive.

Fatigue.

Dizziness.

Weight changes.

Leg cramps.

Rise in blood pressure.

Steepening of corneal curvature, which may make contact lenses uncomfortable.

Skin reactions such as rash and itching.

Irregular brown patches on the skin, usually of the face (chloasma).

Disturbance in liver function and jaundice.

Gallbladder disease.

Inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis).

Blood clots in the blood vessels (eg, DVT, pulmonary embolism, stroke, heart attack - see important information above).

The side effects listed above may not include all of the side effects reported by the medicine's manufacturer.

Well I take my NDT when I wake up and my Kliofem at lunchtime. I feel totally disfunctional when I could not get it and the GP wanted to move me to an HRT that gives you periods, No way! He tried another but I was not safe to be around, the mood was a bit more than grim! Finally got the Kliofem again and life went back to what I consider normal for me.

The research now shows the raise in cancer rates is about 2 in 1000 so I will take those odds, even though I have had two breast ops.

We are all different and there are many HRT pills out there, so if Kliofem does not suit you, ask to try another. Hope you feel good soon.
