inherited hyperthyroidism - till death due us part?

First of all - I am so glad I have found this forum. I've been going through it like crazy for the past half a year. It's soooo refreshing to be able to hear other people's experiences. I did meet some people with thyroid issues after finding out I have hyperthyroidism almost three years ago.

I've been on propanolol for the first two months, and thyrozol for maybe year and a half. I am off the meds now for almost half a year. During the time I've been on the meds, my hormone levels fluctuated. I've been 'cured' two, maybe three times, but my hormones went back up whenever I would start taking less meds.

The surgeon advised me to cut off at least part of the thyroid - with a risk that the whole thing is going to die afterwards. That's not a big surprise - I'm from Lithuania. For up until maybe ten years ago the only thyroid medicine - was simply cutting it out for hyper patients. It's just the way the system works here.

So. In these years I have also met some people that were hyper and had stopped the medicine for different reasons. One girl got better after getting pregnant (which is impossible for me, since my reproduction system is non existent), one lady healed herself with some magical aromatherapy drops (which I thought was bull, but who knows - after being diagnosed, I believe almost anything).

So with no actual, real healing going on, I stopped my meds.

During the time I was taking them, I learned to listen to myself better. I don't do things that make me irritated so much, I don't work in stressfull environment, don't hang out with people who are offensive, i have successfully cut out all of the toxicity from my life.

I no longer feel thyroid - related symptoms. No more racing heart, no more tremors, no more hot flashes, anxiety attacks, foggy mind. But it's still hyper.

My new approach is endobiogenetics. Found a new doctor, which costs quite a lot (bye going to Peru in the winter. At least for now:(( ), but it was the first ever doctor that answered (most) of my questions. Especially regardint natural healing.

I am now taking supplements for liver function, bone structure, and a big dose of turmeric to fight the inflammation in the body.

Doing to also be taking some liquid form drops with juniper, passionflower, equisetum and etc. to help drain and heal my thyroid.

More pills? Yes. For now. But I have faith. Please keep your fingers crossed for me.
