Any idea roughly how much i would pay for a private ultrasound? I'd like to know how much damage has been done. Does anyone have any experience of this?

Thyroid ultrasound uses sound waves to produce pictures of the thyroid gland within the neck. It does not use ionizing radiation and is commonly used to evaluate lumps or nodules found during a routine physical or other imaging exams. This procedure requires little to no special preparation.

It should cost something between $155 - $373.

I went to a clinic in Leeds about 6 years ago. (they do pregnancy scans and all kinds of other scans) Results were interpreted by qualified radiographer in a report given to me. From memory it cost me £120. My thyroid was virtually non existent!
