New nodules after removal of half thyroid from hurthle cancer

Hi I had a scan for unrelated injury and found nodules on thyroid. Aspiration was inconclusive so went in to have hemithyroidectomy. I had hurthle cancer in the early stages so cancer was removed when rightside was removed, hadn’t gone outside markers. Went back for one year check up today and have new nodules on left hand side. Told only small no need to worry but I am. Does cancer sometimes come back in the other side? Thank, Lana
