Hello guys, I need an advice, I will see the GP Tuesday to ask him again to be referred to an endocrinologist, to check on the nodule I have, but I need to challenge his potential dismissive answer. What should I tell him to be properly checked rather than get only a annual tsh t3/4 blood work?
Thanks!

If he dismisses you again, ask him then and there to put it in writing for you why he is not doing anything. This will put him on the spot as they hate a paper trail. Tell him you need it for your job/insurance/mother...
Ask him how he knows the nodule is not "nasty". Of course he does not, and it may get him to engage his little brain cell. Tell him it is a worry that could be easily sorted, but do not tell him it is getting you down as he will immediately write "depressed" on your notes and prescribe a happy pill you do not need or want. Ask how he would feel if he had a lump and no one was checking on it.
Thank you very much for your advises, I m really stressed of trying to challenge those guys... they sound always right and to be honest and don’t get how they can play with people health just to save money to the nhs
Couple of things you can try - imagine him sitting there naked - it takes away the front he puts on. Just dont stare at various places
The other thing I do is turn myself into Mrs Thatcher and start talking in that low slow tone, and looking him in the eye when he speaks. I usually see them shrivel like salt on a slug!
