Acne and graves?

Is severe hormonal-type acne break out and graves disease/ hyperthyroid treatment related?

It could be.

I think u mentioned previously that at 20mg carbimazole, you developed a severe rash. Now at 7.5mg,the acne. You could be quite sensitive to the carbimazole.

In the bigger picture, your body might not be able to tolerate too high a dose of carbimazole, which could be a problem if u need to increase the dose.

It might therefore be worth the time fixing the body instead through diet, lifestyle changes, etc, to try and prevent the need for a higher dose of carbimazole

I had strange white pimples on my face that disappeared within a week after my TT 4 months ago. I also had a strange rash on my upper back that disappeared immediately after surgery. I have Graves . Hope this helps. Best wishes!

I was also on Tapazole for 2 years prior to the TT - hard to say if it was the Graves or the Tapazole.
