It appears that HU is suffering server problems this morning. Had several failures to update or reach a page - typically with a 500-type error (504, 506 or whatever).

Can't help wondering if it is hosted on the same hardware as a certain extremely busy brexit-related government petition.

Still, if you get such an error, just wait a little while and try again.

I agree, we mortals have no idea how these things are wired up.
